begin [bɪ'gɪn] (began, begun) v. 开始，着手

【易错警示】begin与start
begin begin 表示“开始”，其内涵是“使处于进程中”， 反义词为 end。当主语是非生物名词、it，谓语表示脑力活动或心理状态时，begin后几乎都跟带to的不定式。
start start 表示“开始”，其内涵是“启程”。 反义词为 stop。在表示开动、发出开始信号，受惊而动，开始旅行、赛跑等，使用start。Start后面可用动词不定式，也可用动名词，但动词不定式较常用。
